How to Create a Free Birthday Website With Photos and Music

Create a free birthday website by choosing a template and music, adding exactly three photos with personal messages, then previewing and publishing your own link. WishHappyBday's Standard builder has seven steps and needs a free creator account. Guests can open the page and leave wishes without an account.

What you need to make a birthday website

Prepare the recipient's name and email, exactly three photos, a short greeting and one message for each photo. Pick photos you are comfortable sharing with everyone who receives the link. Keep the original pictures and words separately if you want a lasting copy.

Open Create a birthday celebration and choose Standard, or go directly to the free Standard birthday builder. Sign in with a free account when prompted. You do not need to write HTML or install software.

Step 1: Choose a birthday website template

Choose Love for a softer romantic look, Friend for a brighter celebration, or Family for a warm tribute. All three use the same three-photo format. Open the template preview and choose the one that suits the recipient and your message.

If you want to see the full experience first, open Mike's free Standard example. The example is a fictional showcase with different expiry rules from a customer celebration.

Step 2: Select the included birthday music

Use Preview to listen to a track, then Use track to select it. Five bundled soundtracks are available. You cannot upload a custom song as the background soundtrack. The recipient can mute the music, so the words and photos should also make sense with sound off.

Step 3: Add Photo 1 and your opening message

The first photo step includes the greeting and the first photo message. Begin with a line addressed to the person, then explain why the picture matters. For example: Happy birthday, Maya. I still smile about that rainy-day trip and how we found a reason to laugh at every wrong turn.

Upload your own JPEG, PNG or WebP image, or use the sample option while trying the builder. Replace sample text and photos with your own before publishing a personal surprise.

Step 4: Add Photo 2 and its message

Use the second photo to say what you appreciate about the person. Choose a recent memory or an everyday moment, then name the quality it shows. Two or three clear sentences usually fit better on a phone than a long paragraph.

Step 5: Add Photo 3 and a birthday wish

Finish with a shared moment and a wish for the year ahead. You could write: I hope this year gives you more time for the things you love. I cannot wait for our next adventure together. Personal details make the message more meaningful than a list of compliments.

If you need words, use these birthday wishes for a best friend or birthday letter examples. Rewrite any example so it sounds like you.

Check the recipient's name and email, then choose an available custom route using letters, numbers and dashes. Your creator details come from your account. The optional opening time lets you plan when the celebration becomes available.

A customer celebration stays live for 24 hours after it opens. Leave the opening time blank to start when you publish, or set a scheduled opening time in the builder. Opening the link later does not restart the window. Check the opening time carefully. Scheduling uses your creator country's local time and a matching browser time zone where applicable. The opening time cannot be changed afterward.

A scheduled opening controls the page; it does not send your WhatsApp message for you. Plan to share the link yourself. Anyone who receives a forwarded link can open the page, so keep addresses and sensitive information out of it.

Step 7: Review your celebration and publish

Preview the page, proofread the greeting and all three photo messages, inspect crops and try the music control. Return to earlier steps to fix anything before publishing. Keep the tab open while building; reloading can require you to select the photos again.

Choose the free Standard option for the photo-and-music page. Premium is optional and has a separate price shown in the builder and on the pricing page. Copy the published link and send it with a personal note, such as I put three favorite memories here for your birthday. Open it when you have a quiet minute: [your link].

How to collect birthday wishes from friends and family

Guests can leave a name and a wish on the published Standard page without signing in. Share the link with the intended group while the celebration is live. Guest wishes are separate from the three photo messages you wrote in the builder.

For a WhatsApp surprise, follow the birthday-link sharing guide. For a group call, use the virtual birthday party checklist.

Can I edit or keep the birthday website after publishing?

The Standard dashboard offers View, Pause, Resume and Delete. It does not offer a Standard Edit action, so review the content before publishing. Pausing does not extend the 24-hour live window.

Premium Standard includes an entitled creator video download; Birthday Story has its own paid publication and video/PDF options. Check current access and pricing before choosing. Save any entitled file while signed in and while the customer celebration is live. Downloading a keepsake does not extend the page's lifetime. Read the birthday video download guide for the saving steps.
